Moto Trip is an iOS route planner for motorcyclists that optimises for the ride rather than the arrival time. Pick a terrain, drop waypoints and fuel stops, and it builds a route around the roads worth riding. Free on the App Store, with in-app purchases.
For riders who treat the route as the point of the day rather than the cost of it.
Every maps app optimises for arriving. Moto Trip optimises for the ride: pick your terrain, drop waypoints and fuel stops, and it builds a route around the roads worth riding rather than the fastest line from A to B. There is a library of routes put together by riders, and a group mode so nobody in the crew gets separated.
The waypoint plan is generated. The rider's answers about terrain, distance and mood go to a language model, which returns a structured set of waypoints rather than prose. Those are validated against real routing constraints, and a failed attempt is retried with a corrective system note and a higher temperature so the model can break out of a bad shape instead of starting over. A second call writes the human-readable summary of the finished route.
